Athlete genetics can be divided into two categories in terms of biochemical status:

  • Skill-related genes
  • Physical Tolerance genes
Currently, there are no good tests available to measure skill genes. Skill genes vary between sports and also within a single sport: For example, in ball sports, players with very different genes have different uses depending on their position on the field.
